Dental Services Manager, Band 7 £50,861 - £59,159 per annum, plus Distant Islands Allowance £1,406 per annum. 37 hours per week. Permanent Post.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Public Dental Service for a Dental Services Manager. The PDS works in compliment to the General Dental Service to deliver dental care to the Islands population, with a particular concentration on Priority Groups, specialised services and urgent dental care for unregistered patients. In addition, the PDS delivers oral health programmes, such as Childsmile, as well as public health epidemiological projects such as NDIP. In more rural regions, the PDS delivers a high level of GDS services to the community.

Responsibilities
* Oversee the operational delivery of the service, managing a team of approximately 60 staff.
* Provide performance management, implement new systems to optimise the service, and ensure safe and effective patient care is provided.
* Meet national and organisational objectives under the direction of the Director of Dentistry.
Eligibility & Requirements
The successful applicant will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme). This post is not eligible for relocation expenses.
