The Senior Business Analyst plays a pivotal role in driving strategic transformation across Corporate & Investment Banking. This role bridges strategy, operations, and technology to deliver high-impact business enhancements and ensure alignment with financial, regulatory, and operational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead end-to-end business analysis for strategic initiatives, collaborating with senior stakeholders (up to CFO level) to define and validate business requirements.
* Evaluate and prioritise requirements based on business value, ensuring alignment with regulatory frameworks and financial objectives.
* Design and refine Target Operating Models (TOMs) and process flows to support scalable and efficient business functions.
* Identify automation and process improvement opportunities, working closely with functional and IT teams to deliver effective solutions.
* Produce high-quality documentation including business cases, requirements traceability, current vs target state analyses, and user stories.
* Act as a liaison between business and technology teams, ensuring solutions meet both strategic and operational needs.
* Support programme governance, delivery tracking, risk mitigation, and change management activities.
* Facilitate workshops and provide clear, structured updates to senior executives throughout the project lifecycle.
* Assist in testing, implementation, and adoption of new solutions, ensuring measurable outcomes and stakeholder satisfaction.
Key Requirements:
* Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within Corporate & Investment Banking.
* Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders, including CFOs and Managing Directors.
* Strong understanding of CIB products and functions, including Finance, Risk, Operations, and Technology.
* Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing Target Operating Models and strategic change initiatives.
* Solid knowledge of financial services IT systems and architecture.
* Familiarity with IFRS, regulatory reporting, and financial control frameworks.
* Skilled in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Certifications such as CBAP, PMP, Agile, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
