Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons to students in accordance with the school curriculum
* Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student participation and active learning
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support as necessary
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies
* Use a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance student understanding and engagement
* Maintain accurate records of student achievements, attendance, and behaviour
* Engage with parents and guardians to provide regular updates on student progress and address any concerns or queries
Requirements
* Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Geography
* Proven experience teaching Geography at the primary or secondary education level
* Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the national curriculum
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to effectively manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
* Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with educational best practices
