A dynamic and improving secondary school in Witham is looking to appoint a resilient and empathetic Behaviour Mentor – Witham to support pupils who require additional behavioural and emotional guidance. This Behaviour Mentor – Witham role is suited to someone confident, consistent, and able to build strong professional relationships with teenagers.
As a Behaviour Mentor – Witham, you will work closely with students across KS3 and KS4 who face behavioural, SEMH, or attendance challenges. The school is committed to raising standards through strong pastoral systems and high-quality education and training, providing staff with the tools to manage behaviour effectively and consistently. The successful Behaviour Mentor – Witham will deliver mentoring sessions, support reintegration plans, and work collaboratively with the pastoral and safeguarding teams. This role offers valuable experience within structured education and training, particularly for those considering careers in youth justice, social work, or teaching.

What you’ll be doing:
1. Providing 1:1 mentoring and behaviour support
2. Supporting students in lessons to improve engagement
3. Assisting with behaviour plans and reintegration strategies
4. Working with pastoral staff and external agencies

6. Strong de-escalation and communication skills
