HGV Class 1 Night Driver – Halesowen
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Night Driver to join our well-established client based in Halesowen, West Midlands .
This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine opportunities for growth and progression within a reputable logistics operation.
This role would suit applicants who have previously worked as an LGV Class 1 Driver , a Category CE Driver or an Articulated Lorry Driver .
Shifts:
Sunday to Thursday
Start times from 19:30
Rates of Pay:
Nights – £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver , your duties will include (but are not limited to):
Carrying out trunking work, completing one drop and returning stock from Luton
Operating and driving Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently
Performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
Ensuring all cargo is loaded and secured correctly
Adhering to all road traffic laws and transport regulations
Communicating effectively with transport teams and customers
Reporting any vehicle defects or maintenance requirements promptly
Supporting loading and unloading duties where required
Essential Skills:
To be successful as an HGV Class 1 Driver , you will need:
A valid UK Category CE Licence
A minimum of twelve months' experience driving Category CE vehicles
No more than six penalty points for minor infringements
No major endorsement codes
A valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
Good spoken and written English
Excellent timekeeping and reliability
A good understanding of road traffic laws and driver regulations
Strong communication skills
Desirable Experience:
Previous commercial driving experience
Training:
Industry-related training provided
Ongoing support and development throughout your assignment
