Mobile Locality Officer (Ref: MLO)
Starting Salary £32,227 p.a.
We are looking for a positive, approachable, enthusiastic team player to join our Mobile Locality team. The team of Mobile Locality Officers will be at the heart of the local community, supporting all neighbourhoods; they will act as an ambassador for the Council, identifying and responding to customer needs, providing support to ensure matters are resolved quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
* Gather evidence and respond to customer concerns.
* Take action to improve the quality of residents’ lives and the environment.
* Undertake property checks and inspections at locations around the Borough.
* Deliver documents and low-level enforcement.
* Keep up with new legislation relating to the varied activities in the role.
Qualifications
* Full, valid driving licence.
* GCSE level at grade C/4 or above, or NVQ Level 2 in English and Maths.
* Confidence using remote devices such as tablets.
* Flexible problem‑solving skills and commitment to customer care.
* Ability to deal with the public diplomatically in difficult situations.
* Prepared to work evenings and weekends.
* Good local geographical knowledge is an advantage.
* Fluent English communication skills.
