Salary: £42,000- £46,000
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (4 x flex Monday-Thursday)
We are seeking an experienced Category Manager to drive value, efficiency and strategic alignment across assigned product and service categories. The role leads end-to-end procurement activity, commercial negotiations on price and contractual terms, and works closely with global category teams and stakeholders across the UK, Middle East and international regions to deliver strong commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute category strategies to deliver savings, efficiencies and supplier value
* Lead commercial negotiations on pricing, terms and conditions, and contractual risk to achieve optimal value and protect the organisation’s interests
* Lead sourcing activities, contract negotiation, purchase order placement and ongoing contract management
* Collaborate with global category teams to leverage global agreements and negotiate local variations where required
* Partner with internal stakeholders to understand requirements, challenge demand and support programme delivery
* Manage strategic supplier relationships, including performance, cost optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with company policies, applicable legislation and agreed contractual terms.
About You
* Degree (or equivalent experience) in Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline
* Demonstrable experience negotiating commercial terms and conditions, pricing models and cost structures across complex contracts
* Significant experience in procurement, sourcing and end-to-end commercial contract management
* Strong stakeholder management, influencing and communication skills
* Proven track record of delivering savings, cost avoidance and value for money
* Proven capability in negotiating and managing IT / COTS hardware, software and SaaS agreements
* Comfortable working across multiple regions, cultures and complex operating environments.
Desirable
* CIPS or similar professional certification
* Experience negotiating international contracts and working with SAP and data analytics tools
* Exposure to network, telephony or IT infrastructure contracts.
