Job Title: Workshop-Based Mobile Plant Fitter
Location: Workshop-based with site coverage across Essex & surrounding counties
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: £35,000 - £39,000 per year (dependent on experience)
Requirements: Own tools required Full clean UK Driving Licence essential
About the Role:
Are you an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter looking for a role that offers variety, stability, and a wellequipped modern workshop? We are seeking a skilled and self-motivated Workshop-Based Mobile
Plant Fitter to maintain and repair a diverse range of leading-brand equipment, including JCB,
Komatsu, Bomag, Thwaites, Hamm, Powerscreen, John Deere, and Bell.
Key Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on a variety of plant and
machinery
Carry out PAT testing, PDI inspections, and routine servicing
Perform reactive and preventative maintenance, both in the workshop and on-site when
required
Maintain accurate service records and documentation
Adhere to manufacturer guidelines and industry best practices from fault analysis through to
completion

Excavators, Dumpers & Dump Trucks
Crushers, Screeners & Wheeled Loaders
Disc Cutters, Generators & Water Pumps
Lifting Equipment, Hydraulic Attachments & Hand Tools
Compaction Equipment, Skid Steers & Site Cabins
What We’re Looking For:
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Mobile Plant Fitter role
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Expertise in computer diagnostics
High level of accuracy and attention to detail – precise documentation is essential
A team player who is reliable, flexible, and works well under pressure
Self-motivated with the ability to diagnose and repair efficiently
