Job Opportunity: Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader - Anaesthetic Team
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Charge Nurse/Team Leader to join our Anaesthetic Team within Theatres at Phase 3 Victoria Hospital Kirkcaldy. Candidates should have theatre and anaesthetic experience at senior band 5 level or above and demonstrate ongoing professional development.
Department Overview
Phase 3 Theatres features an 11-theatre suite with 2 recovery rooms, covering Trauma, ENT, General Surgery, Urology, Gynaecology, Maxillofacial, Ophthalmology, and Paediatrics. It includes a 24/7 Emergency theatre and Obstetric Theatre. The National Treatment Centre for Elective Orthopaedic Theatre Suite has 3 theatres and 1 recovery room.
Role Responsibilities
1. Provide professional and clinical support to Senior Charge Nurses and the Anaesthetic Clinical Lead Practitioner (ACLP).
2. Ensure safe, efficient, and effective management of operating theatres, with specific responsibility for a designated clinical specialty.
3. Assist in planning and implementing patient-centered care, ensuring standards of care are maintained within the operating department.
Qualifications and Skills
* First Level Registration with NMC or HCPC.
* Degree level education or equivalent knowledge and experience.
* Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
* Excellent time management, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to motivate team members and work independently.
