Science Teacher

Day-to-day of the role:
* Plan and teach high-quality lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, ensuring good or outstanding progress.
* Set clear learning targets based on prior student attainment, treating each student as an individual.
* Assess student work and progress, providing regular feedback in line with school policy.
* Contribute to and follow the department's schemes of work.
* Prepare students thoroughly for examinations and report on student progress according to school policy.
* Maintain a stimulating, engaging, and safe learning environment.
* Attend parent/information evenings and respond to parental concerns in accordance with school policy.
* Engage in the wider life of the school, including participating in routine duties and school activities.
* Take responsibility for personal professional development and participate in performance management activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
* Proven experience in teaching Science at secondary school level.
* Ability to deliver engaging, effective lessons and to assess student progress.
* Commitment to professional development and meeting the Teacher Standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
