Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled HGV Trailer Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, with the ability to perform maintenance and repairs on heavy goods vehicles, ensuring that customers fleets operates efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on HGV Trailers, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and equipment for assembly and repair tasks.
Execute fabrication, welding, and soldering as required for vehicle modifications or repairs.
Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
Carry out equipment repair on excavators and forklifts as needed.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and parts used.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs.
Assist in heavy lifting tasks as necessary to support the repair process.
Experience
Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in HGV maintenance or a similar field.
Familiarity with electrical systems is essential; experience in diagnostics is advantageous.
Skills in fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with schematics are needed
Previous experience with equipment repair, particularly on HGV's and forklifts, is beneficial.
