About the Role

Senior Social Work Practitioner – support the Children with Disabilities Team within the Family Help Service.

Take the lead on meaningful work with children and families, collaborating closely with partners to deliver high‑quality, integrated support. Apply relational and restorative practice, support earlier intervention and prevention, and work within a whole‑system approach to strengthen families and improve outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

* Lead and coordinate supportive work with families through relational practice.
* Collaborate with police, health, education and other local‑authority services to create a seamless system of support.
* Provide early intervention and preventive support, ensuring families receive help at the right time.
* Facilitate Family‑Led Decision Making and advocate for children and families.
* Engage in continuous reflective supervision and team‑based support to manage the emotional demands of the role.
