What The Role Actually Involves Youll be setting, programming and operating CNC lathes using FANUC controls, producing precision components across a mix of work from one-off parts to medium-volume batches. This is a practical, hands-on role where youre trusted to: Set and program CNC lathes efficiently and accurately Select tooling and cutting parameters appropriate to the job Produce components to tight tolerances and quality standards Inspect and measure finished parts before release Communicate clearly between shifts to keep work flowing Theres a strong focus on doing the job right, improving how things are done, and keeping the machine shop running smoothly.
