Are you a trained Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist, or Social Worker with an interest in Adult Mental Health? Bournemouth West is recruiting Community Mental Health Nurse/Practitioners.
About the Role
The Community Mental Health team provides recovery-focused treatment plans for individuals with severe mental illness. You will have recent experience working in a mental health environment and be able to apply engagement and recovery philosophies in your work with service users, with an awareness of the Mental Health Act.
Responsibilities
1. Manage a caseload of patients, providing accessible and responsive mental health services to patients and their families.
2. Contribute to multi-disciplinary team working within the community mental health service.
3. Build effective liaison with community, primary, secondary, and tertiary services to provide holistic care.
4. Communicate effectively, including complex, sensitive, or contentious information, using de-escalation and mediation skills.
5. Evaluate care quality and implement improvements through clinical audits.
Requirements
* Recent experience in a mental health setting.
* Knowledge of the Mental Health Act.
* Excellent communication and organizational skills.
* Ability to prioritize work effectively.
Additional Information
This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday, 9 to 5. The role includes a £3,000 Recruitment Premium upon commencement and a further £1,500 Retention Premium (pro-rata) annually, paid monthly, subject to review.
Applicants must pass an Enhanced DBS check, which the Trust covers. Applicants requiring Skilled Worker sponsorship are ineligible.
