Your impact
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in the global energy transition and our Energy & Power team provides a range of services to our Energy & Power and Buildings & Infrastructure and Advanced Facilities markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, renewable generation and cross‑market infrastructure. Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for a senior leader in BESS to provide leadership to a key growth area, building on our current portfolio of BESS work with Developers, Contractors and Investors.
Responsibilities
* Active market engagement and client relationship management to grow BESS portfolio/pipeline, with support from the Business Development team.
* Leadership on project development, including site layouts and optimisation, concept design and feasibility studies.
* Leading on project advisory and Owner’s Engineer (OE) scopes of work, including tendering and contracting support, construction monitoring and management, and technical services.
* Leading Technical Due Diligence and Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) scopes of work.
* Building and developing a BESS team.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
* Track record of leading the delivery of Front‑End Engineering and design or Detailed design of BESS projects.
* In depth knowledge of UK & Continental Europe BESS market and key growth areas, and global market insight.
* Extensive design consultancy experience, delivering to organisations such as Developers, Contractors and TSO/DSOs.
* Ability effectively to lead, manage and grow diverse teams.
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to maintain existing and develop new client relationships.
* Experience in coaching and developing junior talent.
* Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
* Capability to work under tight deadlines while achieving objectives with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
