MS553 – Security Warden Supervisor
Location: Holborn, London
Salary: £40,000 per annum
Overview: First Military Recruitment are currently supporting our client in the search for Security Warden Supervisor. The hours for this role are 4 on 4 off over both nights & days with 12-hour shifts,7am – 7pm four days & 7pm – 7am four nights.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the Warden team during the assigned shift ensuring the smooth operation and adherence to security and emergency response protocols.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervising and providing guidance to a team of Wardens during your designated shift, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the required level.
Assisting with staff rotas and arranging cover when necessary. Planning workloads, allocating tasks and monitoring progress against targets. Organising work schedules and implementing deadlines.
Providing the first line response when management issues arise during a shift.
Maintaining accurate records of daily activities, incidents and shift reports, supervising the hand-over to the next shift.
Attending team management meetings and following up actions as required. Briefing teams on new initiatives, changes and other relevant matters.
Assisting with recruitment, training and helping staff reach their professional development goals.
Maintaining up to date records at the Gatehouse such as the information folder, key watcher admin, key audits, key list etc.
Upskilling to advanced knowledge of surveillance systems, alarms and access control systems to deter and detect potential threats. Staying updated on industry best practices and emerging security technologies to continuously improve security operations.
Assisting with management of daily gate takings, ensuring all monies, tickets, credit card transactions are accounted for, securely processed and banked.
Liaising with other Inn Departments, Chambers and Resident via email and telephone on a variety of day-to-day matters.
Being part of a call-out rota for out-of-hours emergency issues.
Skills and Qualifications:
Line management or supervisor experience, including leading by example and inspiring others.
Experience of working in sensitive environments and maintaining confidentiality.
At least two years of experience in a security guard role.
Strong knowledge of security protocols, procedures and emergency response techniques.
Excellent observation, critical thinking and solution focused problem-solving skills.
Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions during high-stress situations.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in operating surveillance systems, alarms and access control systems.
Demonstrable high level of honesty and integrity in positions previously held.
Good numeracy and literacy skills with experience of cash handling.
Valid SIA front line door supervisor licence preferable.
