Halls of Scotland, part of the Browns Food Group are looking for a Senior Production Manager to join a growing family-owned food production site at a pivotal time of significant investment and expansion. This is a site-based role in Prestwick specialising in both fresh and frozen manufacturing.
The Senior Production Manager will take full ownership of the sites production. You will drive manufacturing excellence ensuring the site remains agile, compliant and ready to respond to customer and market demands. Halls of Scotland has a headcount of 160 and you will be working with and supported by the experienced management team of 10 on site.
Key Responsibilities
Production - Ownership of the sites production, ensuring the efficient and compliant manufacturing of fresh and frozen lines.
Drive business turnaround - Utilise practical experience to implement new processes and streamline existing operations for maximum productivity and efficiency.
Lean Implementation – Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to continuously improve processes, including yields, labour, waste. Ownership of production KPI’s.
Process Improvement & Problem Solving – Proactively coordinate and lead various process improvement initiatives, utilising structured problem-solving techniques to achieve cost savings and operational gains.
Team Leadership /People Management – Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, influence and mentor the production team. Proven track record of managing, motivating and developing production teams for maximum productivity and engagement.
Communication: Exhibit excellent communication skills. The ability to communicate concisely and articulately at all levels, from the factory floor to senior leadership, is essential.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all technical, H&S, environmental, and audit standards working with the relevant teams.
Your Experience
* Previous senior production management experience ideally within the meat industry.
* Strong background in food manufacturing, ideally in both fresh and frozen product lines.
* Exceptional people management and leadership skills with a focus on team motivation and development.
* Outstanding communication and problem‑solving abilities.
