A well-established engineering manufacturer in Northampton that is continuing to strengthen its safety culture across site is looking to appoint a Manufacturing Engineer who can support the development, improvement and optimisation of automated processes across the plant. This is a hands-on engineering role where you will work closely with production, maintenance and engineering teams to improve process capability, support robotic welding systems and drive continuous improvement across the facility. Responsibilities as Manufacturing Engineer: Supporting and improving robotic welding cells and automated production equipment Developing and controlling manufacturing process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans and Process Instructions Investigating and resolving production issues using structured problem-solving tools such as 5 Why and DMAIC Identifying and implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives Supporting the introduction of new equipment, processes and automation technologies Analysing production data and KPIs to drive improvements in efficiency and quality Supporting tooling, jigs and fixture design where required What we’re looking for in a Manufacturing Engineer: A degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline Experience working as a Manufactu...
