Your Mission As the General Manager, you'll report directly to the franchise owner and oversee a team of 4–6 managers and approximately 40–50 team members. Your role is to lead the park’s daily operations while ensuring a safe, fun and unforgettable guest experience. You’ll be: Inspiring, mentoring and leading by example Driving the park’s performance and commercial success Managing compliance and safety with precision Working hand-in-hand with the franchisee to shape the park’s future strategy Key Measures of Success Customer Experience – Deliver top-tier guest satisfaction across general visits, parties and special events. Continuously improve feedback scores and NPS performance Targets & Commercial Performance – Hit revenue targets via memberships, upsells, parties/events, guest numbers, achieving operational cost control and budget management Health & Safety & Compliance – Ensure complete compliance with SOPs, H&S policies, audits, training and incident response. Emphasis on standard operating procedures, team member training and operational performance monitoring Strategic Leadership – Collaborate with the franchise owner to drive the long-term vision and strategy for the park Key Responsibilities You’ll thrive in a multi-functional, fast-paced, high-footfall environment, where being hands-on is an essential part of your leadership style Follow the park’s opening and closing procedures, as well as all daily, weekly and monthly operational objectives outlined in our platform Lead by example – show your team what real leadership looks like by getting stuck in Work closely with your Assistant General Manager to recruit, coach, develop and mentor your team Guest experience is at the heart of everything we do – being present and available on the floor when your guests need you most is non-negotiable You’ll have a strong commercial mindset, spotting opportunities to grow revenue and build effective business plans Health & Safety is our top priority – you’ll lead by embedding safety and compliance into daily park operations, supporting the Duty Management team at every step Ensure the park maintains robust procedures for accidents, incidents, and contingency planning, including regular test drills and staff training Oversee the daily maintenance and continuous improvement of the park’s presentation standards, inside and out Manage facilities operations including preventative and reactive maintenance of the building, equipment, catering and party services, and all required inspections Be a strong communicator – ensuring team and guest feedback is handled promptly, professionally and with care Lead with resilience, adaptability, integrity and positivity – you are the role model your team looks up to Take ownership of team member performance, including probation reviews and case management (e.g. attendance, punctuality, sickness, HR processes) Create a dynamic and energetic work environment for your team and a safe, fun-filled adventure space for every guest Make it your mission to personally engage with every team member during each of your shifts Be an ambassador of Flip Out – representing both the Watford park and the wider Flip Out UK network, while driving community engagement Be flexible – this is a hands-on leadership role that may occasionally require working outside of your contracted hours to meet the demands of the park, guests and team Aim to lead the scoreboard for NPS, mystery shops and online reviews Qualifications & Skills Management experience in leisure, hospitality or a similar high-energy busy setting Strong understanding of health & safety and risk management Knowledge of HR processes and team development Commercial awareness and financial understanding Basic IT and administrative skills including scheduling, reporting, use of communication tools, basic excel and professional email etiquette Working Conditions 5-day work week including weekends Fridays to Sundays and school holidays are peak periods (holiday requests are granted outside these peak periods) Based on-site full-time at Flip Out Watford Training and dedicated support provided and essential tools given to help you succeed, guidance from the franchise owner and training from regional manager provided Performance-based bonus opportunity – Take ownership of KPIs and financial targets, with a structured bonus scheme rewarding success and overachievement Holiday entitlement included Optional pension scheme Enjoy 40% off food and drinks in the park Salary up to £41,200 per annum (DOE) Why Join Flip Out?
