NATS Services, operates as part of the NATS group. Focusing on business development, strategic partnerships, and business ventures with a capability to respond to the market for new airspace users, whilst at the same time retaining the fantastic business and customers we have today.

The Commercial Manager will provide leadership and shape successful business propositions & growth, identify potential risks and liabilities, and develop effective mitigation strategies.

Internal and External stakeholder and relationship management and value add initiatives will be critical, as you will be supporting our busy flagship Airport Customers.

Other duties include:

* Build strong relationships and act as a primary interface on contractual matters, leading drafting and negotiations activities within NATS' customer network
* Develop and manage commercial propositions and agreements including Sales Contracts, NDA's, Consortium Agreements, Licences
* Provide contract management support for contracts in delivery including advice on contract interpretation and actions, tracking milestones, dispute resolution, price reviews and change control
* Diligent administration of contracts, including contract interpretation, disputes, variations and change orders, during contract execution phase
* Produce accurate and compliant customer pricing by applying the appropriate pricing strategy and model to cost estimates
* Work as an integral member of the Legal & Commercial Services department supporting the winning of new business and delivery of existing contracts
* Advise the business on internal governance matters; including the preparation of documentation required to secure internal bid approval
* Develop negotiation strategies and lead contract negotiations of varying complexity, collaborating with our Legal team to ensure positions adhere with legislation and company policy
* Appropriate escalation to legal colleagues and cooperation with external lawyers (as required)
Essential skills and experience:
* Proven legal, commercial or contract management skills with a particular focus on commercial contract drafting, negotiating and advising on contractual transactions
* Ability to analyse financial data and have a good understanding what makes organisations successful, including recognising opportunities and risks to support business decisions
* Previous experience in airport operations and/or the aviation sector is highly advantageous, but not essential
* Strong commercial acumen, judgement and pragmatism in relation to contracting and relationship management, together with developing effective risk mitigation strategies
* Exceptional analytical skills, a desire to learn and ability to prioritise a wide variety of contractual and commercial matters
* Strong relationship management and experience working in a collaborative environment
* An excellent communicator, agile, and able to work autonomously
* A proven background supporting strategic business & sales growth initiatives within a diverse and complex organisation
