As part of our small and highly skilled manufacturing team, you will be required to set and operate a range of CNC milling machines, up to and including 5-axis, to manufacture high-quality precision machined components.
Ideally, you will have prior experience in a similar sector and possess a strong level of competence in using GCode for programming Fanuc-controlled HAAS milling machines.
The ability to write basic milling codes is essential, as the client seeks an individual capable of producing high-quality components from drawings provided by clients, typically as replacement parts for existing products.
Activities:
* Machining precision components from various raw materials to meet exacting engineering drawing standards.
* Ensuring components are manufactured using relevant measuring equipment and in line with the individual component Inspection Schedule.
* Setting and operating CNC milling machines with Haas/Fanuc or DMGMORI’s CELOS (Siemens-based) control.
* Following the company’s Quality Management and Health & Safety procedures.
* Ensuring quality and timely production.
The Person:
* Completed a Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship.
* Experience within a precision engineering environment.
* Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and use measurement equipment.
* Experience with CNC Milling, ideally with 5-axis and casting machining.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work to tight deadlines.
