Assembly Technician
Location: Cookstown
Hours of work: Monday - Thursday 7am - 4pm / Friday 7am - 1.30pm
Salary: Depending on experience
Job Purpose
To assemble plant items on the factory floor, prior to them being dispatched to a customers' site.
The Person:
1. GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above.
2. Have completed an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
3. Dependable and reliable
4. Enthusiastic, energetic self-starter
5. able to work on own initiative.
6. Organised team player
7. Available to work flexible hours.
8. Understand the importance of quality
9. Understand the importance of deadlines for completing tasks
Desirable:
10. Willingness and ability to travel.
11. Current driving licence and vehicle insured for business use.
12. Forklift Licence
13. Cherry Picker Licence
Key Responsibilities
14. To ensure parts are built as per drawings.
15. To ensure quality checks are carried out and met.
16. To ensure any problems are recorded and notify the supervisor.
17. To finish assigned tasks within required time frames.
18. To meet agreed production targets according to customer demands.
19. To carry out the agreed preventative maintenance schedule.
20. Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
21. Perform simple maintenance and repair as required.
22. Ensure all equipment is properly set up and used in a safe manner and that all safety devices are in use.
23. Maintain target 5s standards for your work area and identify and implement improvements.
24. To meet company imposed and customer deadlines.
25. To adhere to company HR and Health and Safety policies
26. General housekeeping of the factory and surrounding areas.
