A leading civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Civil Engineering Technician to join its team on a permanent basis. This role is heavily focused on residential infrastructure design, with a strong emphasis on drainage design, highways design, and detailed civil engineering drawings.
The successful candidate will have proven experience working on UK residential development projects, supporting engineers through planning, detailed design, and construction phases.
Key Responsibilities

Produce high-quality civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD
*
Support drainage design including foul, surface water and SuDS layouts
*
Assist with highways design including estate roads, access roads and junctions
*
Prepare drawings for planning applications, technical approval and construction issue
*
Work closely with civil engineers and project managers to deliver coordinated designs
*
Amend drawings in response to technical comments from local authorities and stakeholders
*
Ensure compliance with UK drainage standards, highways standards and local authority requirements
Essential Skills & Experience

Strong experience using AutoCAD within a civil engineering consultancy
*
Background in residential development infrastructure design
*
Knowledge of drainage, SuDS, highways and road design
*
Understanding of Manual for Streets and UK design standards
*
Experience producing drawings for planning and detailed design stages
