The Role
We are currently looking for an experienced Production Planner, to join our team based in the south side of Glasgow.
The role is Monday – Friday with the opportunity for flexible working patterns over 5 days.
Role Description
To load and maintain shop floor planning & scheduling system as per customer requirements, ensuring company delivery performance standards are achieved or exceeded.
Essential Experience & Key Responsibilities
1. Liaise effectively with production and operations Managers regarding shop loading requirements and support capacity management.
2. Load shopfloor planning & scheduling system.
3. Update and maintain customer schedules.
4. Management of customer orderbook.
5. Monitor and expedite Op Assist material.
6. Produce & monitor forging schedules.
7. Liaise effectively with other departments.
Desirable Experience
· Previous experience as a Production Planner, Scheduler, or similar role.
· Understanding of capacity planning, and production workflows.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
· Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 quality standards.
· Understanding of material requirements planning.
· Be a self-starter and maximise personal effectiveness by way of continuous improvement.
· Be efficient and work to Castle's lean philosophy
· Be an effective and confident communicator
· Be flexible, dependable and willing to go that extra mile for the customer and company.
· Be a champion of excellent customer service
