The Role
As a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, you’ll play a key role in keeping operations running smoothly while contributing to continuous improvement across the site.
Responsibilities
* Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on modern production equipment
* Working on three‑phase motors and electrical control systems (sensors, relays, contactors, inverters, etc.)
* Fault‑finding using electrical schematics and test equipment (e.g., multimeters)
* Mechanical maintenance including conveyors, bearings, rollers, and gearboxes
* Maintaining and repairing pneumatic and hydraulic systems
* Supporting occasional strip‑down and rebuild projects
* Using a CMMS system (tablet‑based) for PPM and reactive maintenance tasks
* Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
* A recognised engineering qualification (ideally electrical)
* Proven maintenance experience in an industrial environment (e.g., FMCG, manufacturing, food & beverage, packaging, utilities)
* Strong electrical and mechanical fault‑finding skills with a focus on root cause analysis
* PLC experience (advantageous but not essential)
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team
