Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Senior Accountant who is keen to develop their career and progress towards a Client Manager position.

The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting a portfolio of SME and owner-managed business clients, providing high-quality accounting, tax and advisory services.
Responsibilities will include:
* Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
* Producing management accounts and financial reports.
* Preparing and reviewing VAT returns.
* Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax compliance.
* Supporting clients with cloud accounting software including Xero.
* Assisting with client onboarding and cloud accounting system implementations.
* Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a key point of contact.
* Responding to client queries and providing day-to-day support.
* Supporting Directors and senior team members with advisory assignments and projects.
As the role develops, you will take on increasing responsibility for managing your own portfolio of clients and becoming a trusted adviser to business owners.
About You
To be considered, you should have:
* A minimum of 3 years' experience working within a UK accountancy practice.
* Experience preparing statutory accounts for limited companies.
* Experience producing management accounts and VAT returns.
* Strong working knowledge of cloud accounting software such as Xero.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
* The ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
The following would be advantageous:
* ACA or ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively studying.
* Xero certification.
* Experience using IRIS or similar accountancy practice software.
Most importantly, you will enjoy working closely with clients and helping businesses achieve their goals.
