Join to apply for the Band 5 Therapeutic Radiographer role at Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust.
We are seeking a Therapeutic Radiographer to join our friendly, multi-professional radiotherapy team. Torbay offers a range of techniques, including Lung SABR, and is actively engaged in research with both commercial and non-commercial trials.
This position is suitable for a qualified Therapeutic Radiographer seeking an exciting change or a student due to qualify in 2025. You will join us at an exciting time as we are commissioning and installing SGRT on both our linacs.
You will be part of a caring, committed, and innovative team in beautiful South Devon. We value creativity, inclusivity, and work-life balance. Share our vision, and you’ll thrive here, surrounded by nature and opportunity.
Your responsibilities will include working on the linear accelerators to provide safe and accurate radiotherapy treatment, and rotating through pre-treatment tasks such as RT-CT and data entry.
You Will Need To
* Provide safe and accurate radiotherapy planning and treatment for a broad range of tumour sites.
* Support the team leader in managing patient workflow and clinical workload.
* Work flexibly as service demands.
* Provide exceptional patient care at all times.
Our department features two matched Elekta VERSA Linacs, Mosaiq Oncology Management System, Pinnacle Treatment Planning System, Limbus AI OAR outlining software, and a Canon Aquilion CT Scanner installed in 2024. We actively participate in clinical trials, with Lung SABR treatments expanding to include Bone and Nodal Treatments starting early 2025.
We have specialist radiographers who are independent prescribers and are involved in innovative projects, including the award-winning late effects service and oncology research.
Future plans include implementing SGRT early 2025, upgrading Mosaiq, implementing EPIC, and commissioning a new Treatment Planning System. Long-term, we are preparing for back-to-back Linac replacements.
