Be part of a nationally significant heritage transformation. Hull Maritime is a flagship cultural regeneration project that will redefine how Hull's maritime story is told. This high-profile capital project will unite five city centre historic sites, creating a world-class visitor experience that celebrates the city’s unique heritage. As Conservation & Engagement Officer, you will play a pivotal role in this landmark project, leading the assessment and installation of maritime collections, overseeing conservation priorities, and engaging volunteers to shape Hull’s cultural landscape.

Responsibilities
* Contribute to delivery of a project that will raise Hull’s profile across the UK and beyond.
* Provide hands-on leadership through supervision of conservation activities, managing budgets and coordination of specialist expertise.
* Support community engagement through development of volunteer-led conservation initiatives and inspiring public interest in heritage preservation.
* Work with historic vessels, rare artefacts and a dedicated team to deliver a legacy for future generations.
Qualifications
* A graduate qualification in object conservation (or equivalent).
* Experience in museum or heritage conservation, with strong practical skills.
* Ability to manage volunteers, supervise staff and work to tight deadlines.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Location: Hull Maritime Museum, Hull HU1 3DX. Contract Type: Fixed Term. Hours: 37 per week. Salary: £32,597 – £35,412 (FTE). Closing date: 10 December 2025. Shortlisting date: 11 December 2025. Interview date: 18 December 2025.
