Job Title: Bank Kitchen Assistant
We are looking for a Bank Kitchen Assistant to join our Limetree Care Home, Tulse Hill, London. You will become part of a compassionate and welcoming team providing physical, emotional, and social support, and most importantly, outstanding meal experiences for the people living in our care home. Your dedication, reliability, and support will make a difference every day.
Responsibilities
1. Assist the Chef in preparing and cooking nutritious, healthy meals using fresh ingredients for residents.
2. Work according to scheduled meal plans, paying attention to individual dietary requirements.
3. Maintain excellent standards of hygiene at all times.
4. Support mealtimes in a fast-paced environment, enhancing the dining experience.
5. Respect residents' choices and preferences.
6. Check kitchen equipment regularly and report concerns or faults.
7. Understand and adhere to Health & Safety guidelines, including Basic Food Hygiene, COSHH, safe Moving and Handling, and cross-infection control.
8. Cook for large numbers and assist with preparing homemade, tasty food.
Qualifications and Experience
1. NVQ Level 2 in Catering and Hospitality or qualified by experience.
2. At least 2 years' experience in a catering environment.
3. 12 months experience managing a kitchen.
4. Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging with residents and team members.
