Are you experienced in Water/Wastewater project delivery and interested in shaping sustainable solutions? COWI seeks a Market Director to lead business development and strategic growth in the UK and Ireland's Water/Wastewater sector. Reporting to the Senior Market Director, you will develop client relationships, lead bid strategies, and contribute to market leadership.
Your key responsibilities include:
* Expanding business activities across the UK and Ireland in Water/Wastewater.
* Identifying leads and suitable partners for tenders.
* Maintaining and updating the UK project pipeline and implementing decision processes.
* Coordinating capture and bid processes with technical teams.
* Developing bid strategies and delivering proposals.
* Managing frameworks and ensuring delivery continuity.
* Participating in the UK market leadership team.
* Building networks with clients and partners, including key account management.
* Supporting the development of growth strategies and technical initiatives.
* Sharing market and customer insights with sector leads.
Candidate Profile:
You should believe in setting clear directions, empowering your team, and fostering an inclusive culture. Additionally, you will have:
* Chartered Engineer status in Water/Wastewater.
* Design engineering experience in the sector, working with multidisciplinary teams.
* Strong technical background with leadership in work-winning.
* Experience in business development and framework management.
* Established network within the UK and Ireland's Water sector.
* Proven ability in proposal development and market initiatives.
* Experience across all project delivery stages.
* Understanding of legal, contractual, and financial aspects.
* Relationship-building skills based on trust.
* Experience in coastal protection and marine works is a plus.
