About Our Pupils Our students have a diverse range of needs, including: Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD) Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) Complex medical needs Communication and interaction needs Sensory processing difficulties Physical disabilities Many pupils require personalised learning programmes, structured communication approaches (such as PECS, Makaton, or AAC), and support with personal care. Some may present with behaviours that challenge, often as a form of communication. The Role As an SEN Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes Lead a class team, including teaching assistants and support staff Create a safe, stimulating, and highly structured learning environment Work collaboratively with therapists, medical professionals, and families Monitor progress using appropriate assessment frameworks Promote independence, communication, and life skills We Are Looking For Someone Who: Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) Has experience working with pupils with complex SEND (school-based or specialist setting preferred) Demonstrates patience, resilience, and a strong understanding of inclusive practice Is confident leading and managing a classroom team Values multi-disciplinary collaboration Is committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing Early Career Teachers with relevant SEND experience are welcome to apply.
