Senior Workday Integrations Engineer – join a team delivering Workday integration solutions within the EDM Extend Application ecosystem. This role involves delivering integration solutions, supporting existing customers, and designing enhancements to the Workday Integrations suite.
Main responsibilities
* Work as part of a team of engineers and consultants on the successful delivery of integration solutions.
* Support existing customers with their integrations and design enhancements to the integration suite.
* Participate in all aspects of the integration lifecycle from architecture to ongoing customer support.
* Develop and share expert knowledge of the Workday product and integration platform toolset, including HCM / EDM domain knowledge.
* Build strong relationships with internal and external partners to understand requirements, ensuring the integration solution is fit for purpose and commercially viable.
* Mentor more junior team members in Workday Integrations.
Minimum (essential) requirements
* 4+ years of professional work experience.
* Workday Integrations Certification.
* Proficiency with XML, XPath and XSLT including streaming, and knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (preferably J2EE).
* Good understanding of cloud computing, web services and associated integration challenges.
* Customer focus with client-facing experience; able to understand customer needs, build relationships, and know when to escalate issues.
* Some consulting skills (e.g., presenting, participating in workshops, explaining functionality or solutions to customers).
* Clear and effective communication; able to communicate with customers and colleagues with credibility and empathy, including in remote work; proficient in English.
* Good commercial awareness and understanding of project and business dynamics.
* Awareness of the Kainos story, wider business offering, and company strategy; able to support it.
* Attention to detail; able to work within remote teams and with customers; capable of working with limited supervision.
* Ability to plan workload and meet deadlines; apply relevant standards and ensure high quality and accuracy.
* Awareness of confidentiality and non-disclosure policies and information security.
* Willingness to learn about relevant subject matter (e.g., regulations and practices internationally).
* Willingness to travel to work with customers on site and to collaborate with colleagues from other offices.
* Ability to propose improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practice.
Desirable
* Workday Extend Certification.
* Proficiency in other middleware/integration platforms.
* Experience designing workflows to solve business and technical problems.
