Are you an Assistant Co Sec/Fund Administrator with Investment Management/funds/PE experience looking for an exciting, newly created role within a high growth Alternative Investments Manager?
This impressive international investment management business operates a number of funds and has a particular strength in real estate and private equity but also has investments in public markets, private debt and is currently expanding into insurance and banking. The firm also provides wealth management for a range of global HNW and UHNW individuals.
The business currently has AUM of £4.5Bn and operates out of offices in London, Europe the US and Middle East with each of their various entities being fully regulated in the territories in which they operate.

The business has grown rapidly and is actively expanding into new investment areas. As a high growth business, they have previously outsourced a number of core business functions to external service providers. However, as the business continues to grow, there is a drive to bring more of these functions in-house to improve quality and be in line with regulatory best practice.
Reporting to the relatively newly appointed Company Secretary, in this brand-new role you will have responsibility for all the governance, board support and entity management activities of a group of funds based in the UK, Channel Islands, Luxembourg and the Caribbean - including c150 entities. However, this opportunity also has fantastic variety and exposure as you will also get involved with some of the broader Fund Administration work. Further recruitment is planned and so this is a great opportunity to play a key role in a growing function!
Key responsibilities will include:
* Assist with set-up and closing of companies in various geographies ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements.
* Lead IT initiatives including bringing all entities into Diligent
* Help maintain accurate records of company officers and shareholders, and support document preparation for board meetings.
* Maintain updated and well-organized minute books and statutory registers.
* Assist in maintaining clear records of all compliance and risk management activities.
* Respond to data requests raised internally and externally.
* Support the administration of a portfolio of fund structures, including private equity, real estate, and other alternative investment vehicles.
* Ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders, auditors, legal counsel, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth fund operations.
* Assist in the onboarding of new clients and fund structures, including due diligence and documentation, where needed.
* Monitor compliance with fund documentation, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
As the ideal candidate for this exciting opportunity, you are likely to:
* Have a minimum of 3-5 years of Co Sec experience within an investment management or PE environment or within a service provider supporting clients in the investment management/PE sector.
* Ideally have a background in fund administration with a sound understanding of fund structures, opening, closing, client onboarding and of the associated regulatory and compliance requirements
* Be familiar with both UK based funds and (preferably) offshore jurisdictions
* Have proven skills in entity management including statutory compliance and board support
* Have strong communication and organisational skills with a keen eye for detail
* Have experience of systems such as Diligent
Basic salary is c£65,000 (neg) plus a benefits package.
The opportunity is based in their central London office and is contractually full-time in the office initially. However, there is a culture of flexibility which allows for a degree of home working on an informal/discretionary basis.
