We are seeking an experienced and resilient Registered Manager to lead a children’s residential home in Derby. This is a key leadership role, responsible for compliance, safeguarding, and ensuring the highest standards of care in line with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015.
Key Responsibilities
* Fulfil all duties of the Registered Manager role, ensuring compliance with Ofsted and statutory regulations.
* Lead the home’s operations, including care planning, safeguarding, health & safety, and quality standards.
* Recruit, supervise, and develop a motivated staff team.
* Ensure care plans reflect each child’s individual needs.
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring effective safeguarding for all children.
* Manage resources, budgets, and staffing effectively.
* Build strong partnerships with families, local authorities, and external professionals.
Requirements
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
* Minimum 5 years’ residential childcare experience, with 2+ years in a management role
* Strong knowledge of safeguarding, regulations, and Ofsted frameworks
* Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
* Emotional resilience and commitment to child-centred care
