Position: Senior Procurement Officer
Location: Dublin (Remote options available)
Long O Donnell is currently looking to speak with senior procurement officers. We are seeking experienced individuals to work within the utility industry.
Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct requirement gathering exercises, formalize tender packs, and establish timelines as necessary.
Collaborate with legal resources both internal and external.
Plan effectively and utilize resources against pipeline activity and business needs.
Prepare tender packs, including invitations and instructions to tenderers, contract notices, and contract award notices.
Deliver "mini-tenders" under existing frameworks for low-value sourcing events, adhering to sourcing rules.
Maintain document control.
Conduct contract negotiations with suppliers.
Undertake post-sourcing event reviews, track lessons learned, and implement improvements with relevant Category Management, Contract Management, and Supplier Relationship Management teams.
Knowledge and Experience Needed
Sourcing and supply chain experience.
Procurement qualification such as CIPS is desirable.
Proficiency with Office 365, including MS Excel and PowerPoint.
Experience with e-procurement tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa, Tradeshift, Jagger) is desirable.
Good understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and strategic sourcing methodology.
Experience in supplier identification, tendering, evaluation, and selection.
Ability to gather and challenge stakeholder requirements.
Proven accuracy in data entry.
Knowledge of contracting options, including administration of terms and conditions.
