Senior Account Executive
Backbase is seeking a highly motivated Senior Account Executive to drive new‑business sales, focusing on value selling at the C‑level across various regions worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and convert new opportunities into successful, happy customers.
* Collaborate closely with Inside Sales Representatives, Solutions Engineering consultants, and professional services to qualify new regional sales opportunities and manage the pipeline.
* Maintain relationships between Backbase and prospects throughout the buying cycle, building business cases and value stories with value consultants.
* Partner with pre‑sales experts on RFPs, deep dives, pitches, and proofs of concept.
* Build and nurture active partner relationships in the region to generate new software business and partner‑backed joint license and service wins.
* Work with partners and the Backbase sales team to align on account nomination, opportunity planning, and joint go‑to‑market strategies.
* Carry your own sales quota within one of Backbase’s regional sales teams and report to the Regional Sales Vice President.
* Drive value selling at the C‑level, presenting trusted advisor insights and articulating the business value of complex enterprise technology.
Qualifications & Experience
* 10+ years in a quota‑carrying, enterprise or SaaS software sales role with a focus on new business.
* Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, demonstrated as a “closer.”
* Strong relationship‑building skills, able to communicate effectively at all levels, including C‑level executives, partners, and internal stakeholders.
* Digital‑mindful and tech‑savvy with a deep understanding of the business value of digital and omnichannel customer interactions.
* Demonstrated ability to articulate the value of complex enterprise technology and become a trusted advisor to clients.
* Experience presenting to and influencing C‑level executives.
* Available to travel 30–50% of the time.
* Excellent organizational, presentation, and communication skills, both verbal and written in English.
* Solid industry experience and relevant work experience in the financial services sector.
