Registered Manager – Children’s Residential Home
Location: Walsall
Salary: £55,000 per annum + performance-related bonus
Claire at Amber Mace is recruiting on behalf of a well-established and ambitious children's care provider who is seeking a dynamic and experienced Registered Manager to take the lead at a new or existing children’s residential home in Walsall.

About the Role:
As the Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care, safety, and compliance with Ofsted regulations. You will lead and inspire your team to deliver consistent, nurturing support to children and young people with emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring that their welfare and development are always the top priority.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage and develop a dedicated staff team in line with organisational values
Ensure the home operates within the requirements of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
Create a safe, stable, and supportive environment for children and young people
Oversee care planning, risk management, and safeguarding procedures
Liaise effectively with external agencies, local authorities, and stakeholders
Drive continuous improvement and maintain a culture of high performance and accountability
Manage budgets, staffing levels, and inspections
Candidate Requirements:
Experience as a Registered Manager in a children’s residential setting (or strong Deputy ready to step up)
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Thorough understanding of Ofsted requirements and children’s home legislation
Proven track record of delivering good or outstanding outcomes in children’s residential care
Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Passionate about providing exceptional care and safeguarding children
