We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated EYFS Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Leicester, starting as soon as possible. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting young children in their first stage of formal education and helping them develop essential skills for lifelong learning. The Role As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to support the learning and development of children in Nursery and Reception. You will assist with delivering engaging lessons, supporting children individually and in small groups, and creating a positive, structured learning environment that encourages independence, curiosity, and confidence. You will observe and monitor children’s progress, contribute to assessments, and help implement interventions to meet individual learning needs. Collaboration with colleagues and communication with parents is essential to ensure each child receives personalised support and guidance.
