About the role:
Dispensary Pharmacists are responsible for supervising and managing the dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. These roles require a detail‑oriented, self‑motivated individual who is committed to excellence in pharmacy operations.
Key responsibilities:
* Clinically check prescriptions for Controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis
* Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients.
* Comply with all regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines.
* Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards.
* Provide patient counselling on the safe use of medicines, including specialised equipment.
* Offer guidance to prescribers to minimise supply disruptions.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant supply chains.
* Act as the Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising pharmacy staff.
* Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices.
* Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes.
* Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhc and regulatory compliance.
* Contribute to the efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits.
What we are looking for:
* UK-qualified, registered Pharmacists with a valid GPhC number.
* CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary).
* Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.
* High attention to detail and self-motivation.
* Strong communication and computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Confidence in interacting with patients remotely and in person.
* Strong team player
* Ability to work efficiently in an agile, fast paced environment that is growing rapidly
