As a Wholesale Lending Services Senior Associate within the Wholesale Lending Services team, you will play a pivotal role in building high-performing teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational excellence throughout the loan lifecycle. Job responsibilities
1. Take ownership of complex loan transactions, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery across the loan lifecycle.
2. Lead or act as SME in team projects and initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and operational efficiency.
3. Supporting daily trading operations efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate trade execution while collaborating with traders and team members to resolve discrepancies.
4. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, legal, credit, and operations teams, to resolve inquiries and facilitate seamless transaction processing.
5. Review and interpret loan documentation, applying attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure operational feasibility and risk mitigation.
6. Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
7. Maintain a strong controls environment, adhering to established procedures and policies, and escalating issues as appropriate.
8. Contribute to a culture of excellent client service, supporting programs to enhance processes, reduce risk, and increase scalability.
9. Foster collaboration and knowledge sharing within the team, supporting the development and engagement of colleagues.
10. Review Loan Market Association (LMA) standard documents and other legal documents including trade confirms, assignment agreements, and related agreements.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
11. Experience in financial services, banking operations, or lending services, with a strong understanding of loan products and transaction management.
12. Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex documentation and manage multiple high-priority tasks.
13. Demonstrated leadership, mentoring, or SME experience.
14. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate across teams.
15. Proficiency in time management, organisation, and prioritisation, working well under pressure and to tight deadlines.
16. Demonstrated control mindset and attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all activities.
17. Ability to mentor and coach junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
18. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new systems and technologies.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
19. Experience in syndicated lending, loan servicing, transaction execution or trading services within a financial institution.
20. Familiarity with trade settlement processes, regulatory requirements, and operational risk management.
21. Experience with LMA standard documentation and knowledge of the LMA Standard Terms and Conditions.
22. Strong data and technology literacy, with the ability to analyse data and implement innovative solutions.
23. Experience in process automation, continuous improvement, and change management initiatives.
24. Developing proficiency in leveraging technology, including AI/ML, to create innovative lending and trading solutions.
25. Experience in preparing quantitative reports and supporting strategic planning efforts.
