What does work as a Chef De Partie look like:
Food Maestro: You will be passionate and assist us in crafting and delivering exceptional dining experiences through the food we serve. You will collaborate and work under the Head Chef and Sous Chef team to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Organisation and Managing Your Section: As a Chef de partie, you will manage your own section of a kitchen. You will manage the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes within your section and ensure consistency and quality.
Team Player: You will collaborate and work closely with other chefs and the kitchen team, particularly the Head Chef and Sous Chef, to ensure a smooth running of the kitchen. As you will manage a section in the kitchen, you will likely supervise junior kitchen team members such as Commis Chef and Apprentices to help them develop skills and ensure they follow hygiene and safety standards.
Fast-Paced Environment: The Kitchen can be fast-paced, particularly during peak hours such as lunch and dinner. You will be expected to work efficiently and under pressure to ensure dishes are prepared and sent on time. You will be required to multitask, as you could be juggling several tasks simultaneously, such as cooking, preparing and overseeing other team members.
What We are Looking For:
Experience: Experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role.Operational planning and consistent delivery of SOPs, including management and delivery of statutory COSHH, Health and Safety and Food Hygiene compliance and regulatory tasks. Desirable – NVQ Level 2 qualification in Professional Cookery.
Passion: You will have a natural passion for food and culinary arts, as well as enthusiasm for creating extraordinary guest experiences.
Team Champion: You will have the ability to work well within a passionate kitchen team and work well under pressure.
Development: You will desire to be your best as a Chef de Partie. You will have a willingness to learn and develop your culinary career. You can learn new cooking techniques, refine your skills, and potentially work your way up to higher positions.
Organisation and Attention to Detail: You will be highly attentive to detail, organised, and able to keep your section clean and tidy.
