Job Description

We are seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Engineer to join our engineering team, reporting to the Engineering Development Manager. Your role will involve driving operational excellence by identifying inefficiencies, optimizing processes, and implementing strategic improvements. You will analyze performance data, lead key projects, and develop best practices to enhance productivity, cost-effectiveness, and overall efficiency. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and supporting workforce development will be key to fostering a culture of continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

* Apply World Class Manufacturing techniques to support Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement.
* Champion EHS standards and promote a positive Environmental, Health & Safety culture.
* Analyze and improve company processes and procedures.
* Develop process enhancement strategies and investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints.
* Establish performance norms and standards, monitor staff performance, and collaborate to improve productivity and satisfaction.
* Stay updated on management and process optimization developments.
* Coordinate and facilitate process improvement and new product implementation projects with other leaders.
* Deliver complex CI projects involving cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
* Drive bottom-line improvements by eliminating waste.
* Support and mentor business trainee WCM Green Belts in CI project delivery and certification.
* Identify opportunities for continuous betterment and ease of doing business.
* Develop personal knowledge of Lean and CI techniques.
* Manage a central KIP database to guide decision-making.
* Communicate ideas and influence change within management.
* Manage staff cohorts and teams, providing training and guidance.
* Implement a CI/WCM Pillar Structure to embed CI habits within the business.


Skills & Qualifications

* Experience with ISO 9001/14001 practices and policies.
* 3-5 years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
