Jock Rome's family have been farming on the land around Kilnford here in Southern Scotland for well over 300 years.
Jock uses his wealth of knowledge and experience whilst working with his farming and butchery teams to produce what he considers to be world class Galloway beef, Blackface lamb and outdoor reared pork.
You can enjoy Kilnford's home reared produce by purchasing from our butchery, served up in our restaurant or buying online and having it delivered to your door with our delivery service. We are a local farm shop providing the best home reared and local produce to our customers, by our friendly and enthusiastic team.
We're looking for a Full time team members to assist within our busy shop. Working across all department in our shop ie. Deli, Butchers, Greengrocery and Crafts. This position will be permanent.
Job description
Job Role:
* Working in our busy Farm Shop here in Dumfries.
* Serving customers, operating tills, serving chocolates.
* Assisting with fresh deliveries and shelf replenishment.
* Basic cleaning & tidying duties.
* Putting together hampers for our busy season.
Applicants Must:
* Be aged 16 or over (due to licensing)
* Be flexible in their working hours (weekdays and weekends required) - this job will not be suitable for someone at school.
* Ideally have previous experience of serving customers face to face, however, training can be given
* Be extremely passionate about local produce and customer satisfaction
* Work well under pressure
* Be willing to learn
* Have a positive, can do attitude
* Be able to provide excellent customer service
