About You
We are looking for a Maths Teacher who is:
* Qualified (QTS) and experienced in teaching Maths at secondary level
* Experienced within an SEMH setting (essential)
* Resilient and emotionally intelligent, with strong behaviour management skills
* Patient, empathetic, and nurturing, with a passion for supporting vulnerable learners
* Adaptable and creative, able to tailor lessons to meet diverse needs
* A strong communicator, able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
* Committed to inclusive education and ensuring every student can succeed
The Role
As a Maths Teacher in this SEMH school, you will play a vital role in helping students
overcome barriers to learning and rediscover confidence in education.
You will deliver engaging and accessible Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting your teaching to meet a wide range of needs and abilities.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Planning and delivering differentiated, engaging Maths lessons
* Supporting students with SEMH needs to re-engage with learning
* Creating a calm, structured, and supportive classroom environment
* Using a patient and flexible approach to behaviour management
* Monitoring progress and implementing targeted interventions
* Working closely with pastoral teams and external professionals
* Contributing to curriculum development and the wider school ethos
