About the role:
6. To recruit, train, assess and support carers to provide for children living away from home.
7. To provide high quality assessment and/or care management to children and families who have been assessed as requiring ongoing intervention.
8. To review intervention within statutory timescales ensuring plans for children are achieving the identified outcomes.
9. Demonstrate professional competence in social work practice.
10. To contribute to service development initiatives.
11. Ensure effective multidisciplinary working with partner agencies.
12. To represent the service at Court and/or Panel meetings.
13. Manage and be accountable, with supervision and support, for your own social work practice.
14. Assisting the team to reach its recruitment targets and improving the current level of retention of foster carers in line with the Fostering Recruitment and Retention Strategy.
What you need:
15. A degree in Social Work or equivalent
16. Registered with Social Care Wales
17. At least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local Authorities
18. Completed relevant post-qualifying training
19. Enhanced DBS check
20. Excellent communication and written skills
