This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being the trusted person a young person turns to when the day feels heavy, and who can offer warmth without judgement.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supporting pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs across the school day
2. Helping students regulate, reset and re-engage with tasks when things feel overwhelming
3. Building strong, consistent relationships that help pupils feel safe and respected
4. Working alongside teachers, pastoral teams and therapists to deliver clear, structured support
5. Using calm strategies for de-escalation and emotional regulation
6. Encouraging small steps of progress and celebrating every win

7. Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, behaviour needs or complex SEND
8. Someone patient, intuitive and able to stay calm under pressure
9. A positive communicator who can build trust quickly
