An excellent opportunity for an experienced Field Service & Projects Engineer to join a successful business operating within the product treatment and process plant sector. In this role you will be combining electrical, mechanical and controls engineering skills with project delivery and customer support. You will work across a wide range of industrial sites throughout the UK, supporting both existing plant and new installations. A key aspect of the role of Field Service & Projects Engineer is acting as the technical link between customers and external software developers. You will not be responsible for full PLC programming (unless you can do it!), but you will use your understanding of PLC, SCADA and HMI systems to diagnose issues, define requirements, and support system improvements. No two weeks will be the same. Work will include remote technical support, on-site fault finding, inspections, commissioning support, upgrades and project delivery. You will also carry out hands-on mechanical and electrical work involving pumps, valves, pipework, sensors and general process plant equipment. The role suits an engineer who enjoys being on the road, working independently, and solving practical engineering problems directly on customer sites, including regular overnight stays.
