Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Medicine Division of Aneurin Bevan University Health Board for caring, enthusiastic, motivated individuals. The role involves working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high standards of quality care for patients in an adult inpatient department/ward.
Main Duties of the Job
* Provide nursing assessment and clinical care support to Band 5 nurses and other Band 2 HCSWs.
* Support patients and families/carers, providing professional advice.
* Work within defined protocols, adhering to the Code of Conduct for Healthcare Support Workers in Wales.
* Operate under the close supervision of a registered nurse, reporting to the nurse manager.
* Comply with competent clinical competencies and base knowledge as directed.

Salary
Pay is aligned with the 2026/27 Agenda for Change Pay Award effective from 1 April 2026. Starting from 1 April onwards, the salary will be as per the 2026/27 pay award.
Band
The role is currently advertised at Band 2. It may progress to Band 3 under a national review with updates to the job description and training requirements.
