Turner Lovell are supporting a leading infrastructure services organisation with the recruitment of Commissioning Engineers to support the delivery of high voltage distribution projects across the East of England.

The organisation is a major Independent Connection Provider (ICP), delivering essential infrastructure across the UK. You will be part of a specialist substation build team working across 11kV, 33kV, and 132kV networks.

We are seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers to play a key role in testing and commissioning high voltage plant and apparatus onto live distribution networks. Key Responsibilities

* Test and commission high voltage plant and apparatus, integrating with existing protection schemes
* Produce and implement commissioning plans in line with project requirements
* Provide technical support across projects, resolving design and site-based issues
* Attend client meetings and collaborate with project teams to ensure successful delivery
* Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with current legislation and safety standards
* Review and amend technical drawings where required
* Support and mentor junior team members, promoting technical development and best practice

Requirements

* Proven experience in testing and commissioning on high voltage distribution networks (132kV)
* Experience delivering substation projects for an ICP
* Strong understanding of engineering standards, procedures, and legislation
* Knowledge of current Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, methodical approach
* Ability to communicate effectively with clients, designers, and project teams
* Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel

This opportunity would suit candidates from power distribution, utilities, or infrastructure environments looking to take on a key role within a growing project delivery team. Experience working on UK distribution networks (132kV) would be highly advantageous.
