Lead Technician
Location: Etches Park Depot, Deadmans Road, Derby
12+ Month Initial Contract
Pay: £26.92 /hour PAYE
£35.98 /hour Umbrella
Hours: 4 on 4 off shift pattern. 10 Hour shifts. Combination of Days & Nights (E.g. - 4 days, 4 off, 4 nights)
+ Opportunity for overtime, Paid at 1.25%
This role falls inside IR35 - payment via PAYE or Umbrella Company
Function of Role
To service, complex fault find and repair Hitachi rolling stock assets
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain the condition of the work site, materials and equipment
2. Adhere to health, safety, environmental & quality practices in the workplace
3. Prepare for and undertake planned and unplanned maintenance activities
4. Confirm that traction and rolling stock assets comply with operational specifications by the use of
5. engineering processes and techniques
6. Read and extract information from traction and rolling stock drawings and specifications
7. Prepare for and undertake the removal and replacement of traction and rolling stock components
8. Modify or manufacture traction and rolling stock components by material removal using hand tools
